I am overjoyed to feature our dear clients/friends Emily & Nicolas and their incredible vow renewal which was also our very first destination wedding located in the beautiful mountains of North Garden, Virginia at Pippin Hill Farm & Vineyards.

Nicolas was attending med school in Charlottesville, VA which led to Emily leaving her Canadian home to join him while working as a nurse not too long after their engagement. The love these two share is beyond inspiring. Their fairytale romance has taken them on many dreamy adventures in their young lives including when they pivoted from Plan A to Plan B and tied the knot in a very intimate family ceremony in Paris, France July 2020.

Fortunately they never wavered from Plan A which was always the place they were destined to exchange vows, nestled in North Garden, VA where they fell in love with Pippin Hill Farm & Vineyards. Hailed by Brides Magazine as one of the Best Wedding Venues in America, this beautiful space blends rustic charm with modern elegance and world class cuisine nestled in the dreamy Blue Ridge Mountains, it's no wonder they fell in love with this hidden gem!

Emily , her lovely Mother Lynda and I planned this special day for 2.5 years. All of our favourite flowers were an absolute must. Keira David Austin Garden Roses, White O'hara Garden Roses , Virgil Greenhouses Blush & White Cloni Ranunculus, White Majolica Spray Roses & Sweet Peas w/ Silver Dollar Eucalyptus. Originally when this wedding was planned for July 2020 , I planned on using Smilax for decorating the wooden beams in the beautiful Granary Barn, however when we rescheduled 2x to eventually landing on May 20th 2022, Smilax was out of season so we also moved to plan b. Thanks to my Chapel Designer sister Isha Foss, we sourced local elaeagnus combined w/ southern water oak to bring Emilys vision of a secret garden indoors to life! Extra special thank you to Holly Chapple and Sydney Chapman for hosting Petra and I at the beautiful Hope Flower Farm for the week and helping us source all the pretty blooms for our first international wedding!

It is my great honour to share some of our favourite moments from the stunning vow renewal and gorgeous wedding of Emily & Nicolas with you all through these beautiful images by Alexis Chanel Photography with some additional behind the scenes / detail shots by dearest friend & business partner, Petra King Photography who joined me on this wild adventure of a lifetime and helped me with all aspects of the design process, including the 35 hours of driving and road tripping around VA to source everything we needed, working 15-21 hour long days for a week!

And most importantly , a very special thank you to Emily & Nicolas and their incredible family for choosing us to create for them and to their stellar vendor team for creating magic with us.

I’m thrilled to say we finally made their dream wedding a reality with a little help from my friends!
