A First Responders Fairytale Wedding

What a year it's been, I don't know about you but I'm pretty excited the 13th of November is here because I get to celebrate these two beautiful humans on their 1 year anniversary with a long overdue blog post!

We all love a good love story and these two are a perfect match, they'd been dating on and off since high school and finally found their way to the altar after Christophers romantic proposal in 2019 at the Distillery District Christmas Market. Our stunning bride, Julia is a Nurse at Lakeridge Health Oshawa & her handsome groom Christopher is a Fire Fighter in Oshawa. Chances are good that you may cross paths with one or both of these amazing souls at some point in the future if you're a local.

Where to begin....I've basically known Christopher since birth and his lovely bride Julia for several years now. Our mothers worked together at Eatons, oh those were the days, if you know you know!

Chris and Julia are also extended family, Christophers' sister Jenn (whom I adore beyond words btw) is my son Colins' beautiful girlfriend so we're all connected by 6 degrees one way or another!

Julia was a dream bride, she made the entire floral planning a breeze and we hit the ground running from day one! All our favourite blooms had to be included. Red Charm Peonies, David Austin Tess Garden Roses, White & Burgundy Ranunculus, Playa Blanca White Garden Roses, Scabiosa Black, Seeded Eucalyptus & Italian Ruscus were all on the menu. To be honest, I couldn't wait to create for her, I don't know who was more excited between the two of us! They chose the most gorgeous chapel and venue for their winter wedding, everything went off without a hitch even with the pandemic curveball. Ok yes we got lucky, the guest list was reduced and no dancing was permitted other than the traditional bride and groom and parents dances, it also turned out to be the last weekend with events before a 3 month lockdown kicked but hey, all that matters is they made it under the wire and the tied the knot at their dream venue with their nearest and dearest 50 guests, I call that a huge blessing and I know they do too!

Take a peek at the beauty Charlotte from Rosenlee Photography captured...I apologize now for the endless scrolling...they're all perfection!

Getting Ready at the beautiful Barracks Inn

The Ceremony took place around the corner from the Inn at the beautiful Ancaster Mill Chapel.

The kids and Chris & Julias sweet pup Pinot almost stole the show!! So Cute!!

Pinot wore a doggie floral collar, definitely the smallest one I've ever made. She's so tiny!

Gasp!! Just look at this view...I just can't get enough of the Pearle Wedding Venues, can you?

Congratulations Mr & Mrs!!
