Natalie & Aly, where do I begin?! These two beautiful humans captured my heart this past summer. Their 2021 large scale wedding plans transformed into a tropical backyard oasis with only their nearest and dearest and we couldn't be more inspired by the results captured so beautifully by Petra King Photography.
Natalie carried a stunning tropical bouquet with Queen Protea, Ginger, Cymbidium Orchids, Pink and White Anthurium & a pop of Ranunculus, this beauty is definitely going in the Aspen Hall of Fame!

The Ceremony set up At Natalies beloved Late Papa & Granny's backyard was one of my favourites and beyond special for our adorable couple as Granny has hosted a few weddings over the years including Natalies Parents. From the Tropical arbour to the pineapples lining the aisle to the pool fence photo gallery it all tied together perfectly
Granny has collected pineapple themed trinkets over the years that are all on display in her home and the Golden Pineapples lining the aisle were one of Natalies thoughtful ways of honouring her Grandmother.
Each guest table had a pineapple centrepiece that we cored out to fill with Queen Proteas, Ginger and Tropical Greenery to compliment the wedding theme.
The Ceremony filled with the sweetest vows written by Nat & Aly & a little rain followed by a downpour right before the kiss couldn't put a damper on this magical moment captured so beautifully by Petra King Photography.
The reception was filled with lots of love, laughs, great food, bottomless wine special thanks to Granny for topping up everyones glasses, family photos between the rain drops and countless memories made with their nearest and dearest including Nat and Alys first dance that took place in the same spot on the same patio that her parents danced on back on their wedding day.

"Wow! We are so incredibly happy with our decision to hire Aspen Florist for our elegant tropical themed wedding in July of 2021. She is truly a master at her craft! When we met with Lisa and discussed our vision, she was confident she could create our dream florals. Lisa was extremely thorough and detail-oriented. She got inspiration photos, and responses to a questionnaire that would give her the details she needed to get an idea of the feel of our wedding. Lisa was so kind, listening carefully to our wants and needs. She provided us with an extremely detailed proposal, outlining the variety of options available to us, the types of flowers she would be using in each floral arrangement and a breakdown of the cost. She helped us work through some of the details that we were unsure of, providing her professional opinion and expertise to help us make decisions that we were ultimately so happy with. We were able to make such informed decisions with her assistance! She was so patient and responsive when we had questions, ensuring that we were happy with the final product. Lisa has the goal of creating stunning floral arrangements for her couples, and it is very apparent that this is her passion and calling! Lisa was so incredibly flexible when we asked her if she would be available when we had to postpone our wedding due to the COVID pandemic. When we saw her creations on our wedding day, we were blown away! We don't see the tropical theme too often, so we were so excited to see what she created. We ordered 3 bouquets, 7 centerpieces (in hollowed out pineapples!), florals for our ceremony arbour which we also rented from Aspen Florist, florals for our welcome sign and florals for our cake. Lisa created everything we expected and more. The florals were one of the most beautiful aspects of our wedding. They truly brought our elegant tropical theme to life! All of the guests raved about Lisa and Aspen Florist, and were in awe of her creations! Overall, we really appreciated Lisa's kindness, professionalism and expertise!
