What Dreams are Made of...

Where do I begin?

Kaitlin is one of my dearest clients to date and her adorable Mom Alison will forever be in my heart, so naturally these two are my Aspen Family feature for Mothers Day Weekend. They came to me with a vision and as we began the planning process, Kaitlin decided to add on our Event Design Service so she could focus on the challenges of her demanding career while handing the reigns over to us. We loved combing through the details with her mom over several months of in depth planning, multiple site and vendor visits and endless emails back and forth to make sure we were ready for her dreamy wedding in the park.

Meet Kaitlin & Daniel - two of our beloved #aspenfloristfamily members from the summer of 2019.

They tied the knot at the enchanting Penryn Park in Port Hope, Ontario. It was the perfect summer day, 23 degrees and not a cloud in sight.

Kaitlin chose a timeless colour palette of dusty blue tones complimented with the softest whites and eucalyptus. Her flowers included all of our favourites: Princess Miyuki Garden Roses, Playa Blanca Roses, Ranunculus, Anemones, Larkspur, Lisianthus, White Majolica Spray Roses, Veronica and Eryngium (Blue Thistle).

When Kaitlin finally laid eyes on her bouquet, I'm not sure which one of us teared up first...I think it was a tie!

By far...this is always the most exciting and anticipated moment of the day. Handing our brides their bouquet for the first time brings me so much joy, all of the hard work leading up to this moment melts away in an instant.

Next up, we headed out to meet with Daniel and assist with pinning his boutonniere. This is part of the full service aspect here at Aspen. Melanie and I like to make sure all the guys get their floral accents on properly and we're happy to take care of this for our groom and his crew. We also go a step further, we always provide our grooms with a spare boutonniere for after the ceremony. Family members love to give hugs to the happy couple and these little delicate pieces can get crushed quite easily in the process. With an Aspen spare on hand, our grooms can rest knowing the can swap out when needed for the remainder of their photos and the captivating first dance.

While our beautiful bride gets ready, we're off to set up the ceremony & tented reception areas...

Dads Little Girl...a picture is worth a thousand words in moments like these.

The Ceremony Setting...

Chloe...stole the show with her flower collar!

Time to tie the knot ...

Congratulations again Mr & Mrs B!!

Meanwhile, our team were busy bees over in the tent setting up all the gorgeous details.

A sweetheart table for two!

Let there be cake!

May they live happily ever after....

As we are on day 56 of isolation as I write this, I hope the two of you are finding comfort in each others arms and remember your love will get you through this. We want to thank you again for trusting us to bring you vision to life and for being so wonderful throughout the whole process. You will forever be in my heart and I am so honoured you chose Aspen to make these beautiful memories with. I also want to shout out your dream team of vendors, it was an absolute delight working with these talented professionals and I can't wait to get back out into the world of love and weddings when we are able.

Much love to you all, thanks for reading and subscribing! xoxo
